Board Members and duties

The President shall preside over all meetings of the McAllen Soccer TASO Chapter and the Executive Committee. That person, together with the Vice-President, shall assist in the negotiations on behalf of the McAllen Soccer TASO Chapter and assist in the execution of any and all Chapter and school contracts.
The President shall be the Chairman of the Executive Committee and shall preside at the meetings of this Committee.
The President shall appoint a school liaison whose responsibility it will be to build cooperation and better understanding among school Administrators, coaches, players, parents, fans and the McAllen Chapter.
The Executive Board shall revise the, define, and approve the functions of a special committee as established on the McAllen Chapter Standard Operating Procedures.

The Vice-President shall assume the duties of the President, in that person's absence.
The Vice-President shall be responsible for securing facilities for McAllen Soccer TASO Chapter meetings.
The Vice-President shall be responsible for administering all applicable contracts between the school districts and the McAllen Soccer TASO Chapter. Also, shall negotiate, together with the President on behalf of the McAllen Soccer TASO Chapter and school contracts

The Secretary shall assume the duties of the President in the absence of the President and Vice-President.
The Secretary shall be responsible for the proper recording of the minutes of all McAllen Soccer
TASO Chapter and Executive Committee meetings. These minutes will be available at all McAllen Soccer TASO Chapter meetings.
Shall maintain McAllen Soccer TASO meeting attendance records.
The Secretary shall be responsible for all soccer related correspondence of the McAllen Soccer TASO Chapter.
The Secretary shall maintain copies of the current Bylaws and make them available to all members
The Secretary and the President shall be responsible for the tabulation of all votes as outlined in Article IV (2).

The Treasurer shall be responsible for the McAllen Soccer TASO Chapter finances. It shall require two elected officers to sign any Chapter check exceeding $100.00
The Treasurer shall present a written financial report to the Executive Committee for the fiscal year which shall run from January 1st through December 31st. After the Executive Committee has accepted the financial report, the information shall be presented to the membership at the first scheduled meeting.
The Treasurer shall receive all monies addressed to the Chapter.
The Treasurer is responsible for paying all Chapter expenses in a timely manner.
The Treasurer shall be responsible for informing members of any late fee fine to be charged to each official who has not paid their assignor fees on or before October 1st of each year. If any official ends the year with an outstanding debt, the official will be classified as an official in bad standing and will not be allowed to register with the Chapter until all debts and fines are paid.
The Treasurer shall ensure that McAllen Soccer Chapter files all the required stipulated IRS Forms by the due date to comply as organization exempt from income tax Section 501 ©

The Registrar shall be responsible for maintaining a current membership roster listing only those persons who have qualified for Chapter membership according to the By-laws.
The Registrar shall be responsible for registering Chapter members with Texas Association of Sports Officials.
The Registrar shall be responsible for all training, assessment and educational activities of the Chapter. All assessors shall be Chapter members and shall be ratified by the Executive Committee..
